Chinese phonemaker OnePlus is going to launch their flagship smartphone OnePlus 5 tomorrow. The phone has already faced many leaks around the world but is set to be launched officially on June 20 around the world. The Indian buyers won’t have to wait much for the smartphone as the company has revealed that the phone will be launched in India two days after the global launch i.e June 22. The stage is set for the Indian launch of OnePlus 5 in Mumbai.
The TV commercial for OnePlus 5, where the company revealed the phone for the first time, was doing the rounds during the broadcast of the final match of ICC Champions Trophy between India and Pakistan yesterday. The event will take place in NSCI Dome in Mumbai. As you all aware of the invitation criteria of buying OnePlus 5, the company will give invitations to the people who have bought the tickets for the event. OnePlus 5 will be made available at 4:30 pm on Amazon. You can also buy the phone from the OnePlus stores.
Let’s take a look at the specs and features of OnePlus 5. The phone will be launched in two variants and looks like both will be available for the Indian market as well. Both the variants will be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 which we have already seen other biggies of 2017 like Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8+ and HTC U11. But OnePlus 5 has something big to offer you which you did not see on these other handsets. OnePlus 5 will be powered by 8GB RAM which will be the first time any smartphone will feature such size of RAM. The variant with 8GB RAM will have a storage capacity of 128 GB, while on the other hand, the 6 GB RAM variant will have 64 GB internal storage space.
The large 5.50-inch display will have the resolution of 1440×2560 pixels for crystal clear display. OnePlus 5 runs on a 2.35 GHz octa-core engine with the latest Android Nougat 7.1.1 taking care of the operating system. Another feature which caught our eye was the dual lens camera at the back which will be a 23-megapixel camera and we have already experienced the fine quality of the previous smartphones by OnePlus, so we can expect this one to be better than those. The OnePlus 5 is also equipped with a huge 4000mAh battery.
As far the price tag is concerned, the 6GB variant of OnePlus 5 will be priced at Rs 32,999 and the 8GB RAM variant will be priced at around 37,999.
By looking at the teasers and the leaked information we can say that the wait for the OnePlus 5 was totally worth and this smartphone will give a really tough competition to its counterparts in the market. There is no such smartphone in the market with these specifications available at such price tag.
