Lenovo has launched its all new ThinkPad lineup in India along with the flagship model X1 Carbon. The launch will mark its successful attempt to capture more of the business class market as the laptop is solely dedicated to performing.
ThinkPad X1 Carbon is built as a premium task performing machine and offers much for the price. Without any further adieu let’s dive into the specs. As the name goes, the laptop is made up of more carbon fiber and magnesium alloy which is kind of unique for a computer. The device sports 14-inch display in FHD and WQHD resolution variants. X1 Carbon is highly customizable and can be used with latest Intel Core processors up to i7. One can upgrade the memory up to 16GB, although a 32 GB RAM option could have been more tempting. For super fast processing, it uses an SSD instead of traditional Hard Disk that can be expanded to 1TB.
There’s a common notion that to make a laptop lighter, manufacturers dump a number of USB ports and other usable ports, however, this is not the case with X1 Carbon as it is equipped with two USB 3.0 standard and two 3.1 USB type C ports and an Ethernet support. Thunderbolt 3 also made its way inside the chassis. Lenovo has kept the security in mind and hence put a biometric sensor and an infrared face recognition camera. Power backup is the biggest concern when it comes to a laptop, just not here. Lenovo touts the battery house inside the X1 Carbon can provide backup for more than 15 hours and not just that there’s also a rapid charging function that enables the laptop to reach 80% in only one hour and that is frigging awesome. With everything bundled under the hood, X1 Carbon weighs only 1.1 kilos. Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Carbon’s price start from 1,23,000 INR. This flagship will go heads on with HP Spectre, Asus ZenBook series and Dell XPS 13.
Apart from X1 Carbon Lenovo also launched ThinkPad X1 Yoga, ThinkPad X270, ThinkPad Yoga 370, ThinkPad T470, ThinkPad T470s and ThinkPad L470. The company seems to be not leaving space for any other brand without a head on competition as Lenovo has now entered every price range in the country. It’s the success that drives the Chinese tech giant to flush more products into the Indian market.
