Last night, Apple has dropped the bomb by launching the all new iPhone X, which is the most advanced iPhone ever built by the company. After revealing the updated Apple TV, Apple Watch series 3, iPhone 8 and 8 Plus, Apple CEO Tim Cook surprised everyone by saying that they have one more thing to launch at the event. Flabbergasting all the Apple fans around the world, he revealed the iPhone X which he called iPhone 10.
By having the first look at iPhone X and it’s features, we can say that this smartphone is way ahead of any other smartphone in the whole world. iPhone X has shown us some of the biggest changes since the inception of iPhone. The company has literally showered all the Apple fans on the tenth anniversary of the legendary iPhone.
If we take a look at the features of the new iPhone X, then we must say it is a long list and all the new features are quite advanced. The first thing you notice on the new iPhone X is the front display which covers the entire front and it looks amazing. Yes, the home button has been removed on this one and for coming to the home screen the user just have to swipe up from the bottom of the screen. The experience of watching movies, zooming in the images and playing games is going to be surreal for sure. The display is 5.8 inch in size and the resolution has been upgraded to 2436 x 1125 which is the highest ever on an iPhone. The display is known as the Super Retina HD display, which is the advanced version of the earlier Retina Display.
An amazing new feature found it’s way into the new iPhone X is the Face ID. Living up to their statement ‘The iPhone X is the future of smartphones’, Apple has introduced the new Face ID feature which will save the face of the user as the ID with the help of dot projector and then the user can use it to unlock the phone and also to use other options as well like using Apple Pay. You can now unlock your iPhone X by just giving it a glance. The company claims that the Face ID is faster than previous Touch ID. All this new technology will work with the help of the most advanced chip known as the A11 Bionic chip which will be installed in the upcoming iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus as well.
During the launch event, Phil Schiller, Apple Vice President of Worldwide Marketing said, “The facial recognition grows with time. It learns your face and adapts to your face. It works in day, it works in night. The chances of Face ID error is one in a million times as compared to the Touch ID’s one in 50,000 times.”
Another new feature introduced in the iPhone X is the new generation Emojis known as the Animojis. The animated emojis will take your facial expressions and express it the same way to the user you send them to.
Let’s go further to talk about the camera quality of this new iPhone X. The infamous Portrait mode which was introduced in the back camera of iPhone 7 Plus has now been installed in the front camera as well, on the new iPhone X. The dual-cameras at the back are both 12 megapixels which will have a larger aperture of f/1.8 and f/2.4 and will also be faster than the previous cameras. The front facing camera will be 7-megapixel dual camera with Portrait mode. So brace yourselves for some epic selfies with some beautiful bokeh effect.
While the iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus will be available from 29th September, You have to a little longer if you have your eyes on the iPhone X. The pre-bookings for the iPhone X will start from October 27 and the selling of the phone will start from November 3. Well, coming to the hefty price tag of the iPhone X. Apple has launched the new iPhone X at $999 for 64 GB variant.
The price tag for the Indian markets will be Rs 89,000 for the 64 GB variant and around Rs 1 lakh for the 256 GB variant. Let’s see if the Indian market is ready for this hefty price tag as India is one of the biggest users of the Apple iPhones.
