Recently, FIR has been filed against Google under the Act of IT on 10 May, on a complaint of Nand Kishore who is a lawyer by profession, the complaint was lodged for searching the ‘derogatory’ result on PM  Narendra Modi in the year 2015, Kamal Kishore the Superintendent of Police said on 11 May. Nand Kishore told, he was surfing Google for national news and he comes across a list of ‘Top 10 criminals of India’ where the name of our honorable Prime Minister Mr. Modi was mentioned.

When media contacted the official personnel of Google, the spokesperson of Google told, “We have not received any notice of this complaint and are unable to comment.” The FIR has been already registered against the Google, the popular search engine by a member of RK Awasthi, Vishwa Hindu Parishad for allegedly involving the name of Narendra Modi in a ‘derogatory’ manner. The members of Vishwa Hindu Parishad member burnt papers on which with “Google” was written.

Although, Google has faced such issue for the very first time. In the year 2015, Google seeks for sorry when pictures of PM Modi’s appeared in the search query on “Top 10 criminals in India”. Google has also mentioned, “these results had troubled them a lot and are not reflective of the opinions of Google.”

The search query also showed the results of other world leaders with images, for instance, Libya’s dictator Muammar Gaddafi, former U.S president George Bush, and Chief Minister of Delhi Arvind Kejriwal, Bollywood actor Sanjay Dutt.
