As the Punjab Elections are round the corner, All the contesting parties are bracing themselves for the big fight this year. Aam Aadmi Party leader and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal released the party manifesto and he feels that the people of Punjab are looking forward to a change now. The party is all geared up for the elections and looks like it will give a tough fight to the dominating Akali Dal party.
Last week, Kejriwal released a manifesto which was for only differently-abled people of Punjab. The manifesto said that the once the party will come into power, the monthly pension will be hiked Rs 2500. On the release of that manifesto, he said, “Pension will be raised and will be directly transferred into bank accounts of the physically challenged persons.”
In the main manifesto that he released recently, he has mentioned a variety of schemes and relaxations to the people of Punjab. He expressed his desire to give the power into the hands of common people and said that everyone is tired of the traditional politics. The party has made many big promises with the people of the state. Somehow this time, The party is also gaining much popularity as seen in the headlines, lately. A group of more than 150 AAP supporters has flown together all the way from Canada to Delhi to give their support. A series of videos of IGI airport went viral in which famous AAP leader Kumar Vishwas can be seen doing the bhangra with the AAP’s NRI supporters.
In the manifesto, The party has promised that it will launch a drive to set the state the destination for setting businesses and industry. The anti-corruption wing of the state will be given much power to make Punjab corruption free. Overseas Employment Corporation to be set up for the promotion of overseas youth employment. Youth to be trained for foreign jobs. New medical colleges to be set up in the state with facilities like nursing training and paramedics. ‘Pendu Sehat Clinics’ to be opened in villages to provide free medicines and treatments. Medical vacant posts to be filled up.
Health insurance of Rs 5 lakh to be provided to all Punjabi people. Aam Aadmi Canteens will be opened where meals would be available for as low as Rs 5. Drug victims will be rehabilitated within six months and the state to be made drug free within one month of forming the government. All the politicians who are associated with the drug mafia would be put behind bars and their properties to be confiscated. More than 25 lakh job opportunities to be provided all across the state. Mata Gujri training academy to be established for girls of the state. Kejriwal has said that the farmers of the state would be debt-free by December 2018.
All eyes are set on this year’s Punjab Assembly Elections as it is going to be a tough fight between the three parties, Congress, Aam Aadmi Party and BJP-Akali Dal. The voting will take place on 4th February and the vote counting will be done on 11th March.
