Honda is bracing themselves to re-launch their breakthrough car Honda Civic in India. The car started to decrease because of the rise in the sales of the diesel cars. After that honda could never bring back its petrol engined sedan back into the game. The all new Honda Civic 2017 will be the tenth generation Civic and the company is planning to launch the car by the end of this year. The price is estimated to start from around 15 lakhs.
The comeback variant will try to hit the market hard by giving a tough fight to its counterparts like Toyota Corolla Altis, Hyundai Elantra, Chevrolet Cruze, Volkswagen Jetta, Skoda Octavia.
The all new Honda Civic 2017 measures 4630mm, 1798mm and 1415mm in length, width and height, respectively. The boot space provided is large enough measuring at 427 litres. The car will be available in two variants – 1.8L i-VTEC petrol powered engine and the all-new 1.6L i-DTEC diesel powered engine, which will have all the eyes set on the as people always demanded a diesel variant the previous Civic in India.
The new Civic 2017 will offer the option of a manual gearbox or CVT automatic gearbox for the 1.8L petrol engine variant. On the exterior, The car looks more kickass than the previous model and its a feast for eyes wherever it goes. All new HID headlamps and LED tail lamps to give it a fresh new look. On entering the cabin of the car, you will see a totally renovated and amazing fresh looking interiors. It features a touchscreen infotainment system, reverse parking camera, AC vents for rear passengers, leather seats, Dual zone climate control and 6 airbags for the security of passengers.
The petrol variant is speculated to produce 135 bhp of horsepower and 170 Nm torque, whereas the diesel variant will produce 120 bhp of horsepower and 300 Nm torque.
