Ducati in an event launched two new superbikes for Indian roads. The bikes that go by the name Monster 797 and Multistrada 950 will be available to the nearest Ducati outlets at a price of INR 7.77 Lakhs and 12.60 Lakhs (Ex-Showroom) respectively.
The Italian manufacturer is one of the key superbike players in the Indian market stepping carefully and meeting the demand. Not wanting to be stripped away from the attention it garners, Ducati, yet again brought something to amaze just this it gets much better. The Monster 797 and Multistrada 950 are speculated to heat up the sub 800cc and 1000cc segment. Let’s find out what both the rides have to offer.
Monster 797: The naked street fighter is powered by an 803cc twin cylinder Testastretta engine that churns a good 75 Brake horsepower along with 69 Nm of peak Torque. The rundown is controlled by a 6-speed transmission box. The goodie bag doesn’t go empty just there as loads of features are found in the motorcycle. Based on the same tubular steel trellis frame, which is also exposed and painted in red for more contrast, Monster gets a whole new double-sided swingarm. Full LED headlamps, taillamps and blinkers made their way onto it. The frontal wheel comes equipped with dual 320mm Discs while the rear end completes the braking segment with 245 mm disc. The 43mm inverted front and rear monoshock adjustable shock absorbers will ensure you don’t wear out for driving a longer stint. Furthermore, a fully digital instrument console delivers all the vital information and it has USB port too that charges smartphone. All this bundled under 175 kilos and costs Rs. 7.77 Lakhs. This Monster is to go head on with Aprilia Shiver 900, Triumph Street Triple and recently launched Kawasaki Z900.
Multistrada 950: The multipurpose superbike meant to provide thrilling experience both on and off road. It runs a 937cc Testastretta Twin cylinder motor that develops 113 Bhp and 96 Nm of maximum torque. The tourer gets LED headlight similar to the iconic Panigale series only cut halfway, trafficators and taillamps. The Multistrada is given due to its various riding modes which are Enduro, Sport, Urban and Touring out of that it utilizes maximum power in sports mode. Both wheels are newly constructed out of cast metal and are wrapped up with Pirelli Scorpion Trail 2. The Italian two-wheeler also ensures proper safety with ABS, Ride-by-wire, DTC levels (Ducati Traction control) and Throttle guard with blinkers inbuilt. Upon its availability, the already multipurpose superbike will compete against, BMW S 1000XR, Kawasaki Versys 1000 and more in the segment. Ducati Multistrada 950 comes with an aggressive price tag of 12.60 lakhs
